Child Neuropsychological Testing

As a child and adolescent psychologist serving the Boston area, Dr. Weinhaus specializes in psychological evaluations for infants through college aged students to better understand neurobehavioral problems such as:

  • Attention Deficit Disorder/Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADD/ADHD)

  • Developmental delays

  • Learning disabilities such as dyslexia, dysgraphia, dyscalculia and non-verbal learning disorders (NVLD)

  • Autism spectrum disorders such as Asperger’s syndrome and Pervasive Developmental Disability (PDD)

Learning DIsabilities

A learning disability is a neurologically based disorder that impacts an individual's ability to acquire reading, writing, spelling or mathematical skills despite strong thinking abilities.  This might include but is not limited to: dyslexia, dyscalculia, and/or disorders of written expression.



Developmental Disabilities

A developmental disability can impact one or more aspects of daily living including communication, cognitive development, fine and gross motor skills, social skills, and self-help skills. Causes could be genetic, medical, or environmental. This might include, but is not limited to:  Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD), Non-Verbal Learning Disabilities, Language Disorders, and Intellectual Disabilities.




Social and Emotional Disorders

A social and emotional disorder is when an individual has difficulties modulating emotional states such as sadness, anger, as well as excitement.  This might include, but is not limited to: Depression, Anxiety Disorders, and Oppositional Defiant Disorders.  


ATTENTION AND Executive functioning disorders

Attention and executive functioning disorders impact how individuals can sustain their attention and activity level as well as how individuals plan, organize, and problem solve.  This might include but is not limited to: Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder and Executive Functioning Disorder.
